Sunday morning classes
These are offered at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. throughout the school year for 3 year olds through 5th graders.
3 year olds-1st graders learn about various stories in the Bible utilizing the different learning styles with Gospel Light curriculum.
2nd and 3rd graders focus on the 10 commandments and prayer (the Lord's Prayer and the 23rd Psalm). These are taught on a 2 year rotating cycle. 2nd graders also receive a Bible of their own at the beginning of the year. Please let their teacher know if they did not receive a Bible.
4th-5th graders are presented with a general overview of the Old and New Testaments in a way that will deepen their understanding of the books of the Bible and how they fit together.
3 year olds through 3rd graders also spend part of the hour in a large group worship time where they sing praises, celebrate birthdays, and learn about the mission focus for the year.
Children are welcome to start attending at any time during the year. A registration card is required for pertinent information.
Bethesda has implemented a check-in/check-out system using matching name tags. Your child will receive a tag and you will receive a matching tag that is to be presented when picking up your child for class. These are kept in the classroom and will be used for all classes in Children's Ministries.
